Everyone has different opinions of art and beauty. It depends on who you’re asking and what they value in life. Some men and women focus more on physical features, whereas others focus on the materialistic things of life, such as wealth and flashy objects.
In the book ” The Art of Being Human”, there was a quote written by Ralph Waldo Emerson and he said “Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not“. I agree with this quote because majority of the time people travel all over the world to find what is beautiful to them, but if they have an ugly heart then how can they understand what true beauty is? In order to find something beautiful, we have to have beauty in ourselves. Not the beauty that relates to society but the beauty that comes from within, such as being charismatic, understanding, patient and kind. Also in the book “The Art of Being Human”, there is a quote by Albert Einstein and he said “The most beautiful we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of science“. I agree with this quote because I think that mystery makes the heart grow more inquisitive. If you know someone inside and out, sometimes there’s nothing more for you to learn about them, but if there are still things that you have not figured out about that person, it adds to the mystery, the beauty. Mystery is its own form of beauty. It becomes an attraction. Mystery makes people love even more. The last quote that stuck out was a quote written by Stephen Sondheim and he said “The best art always seems effortless“. I agree with this quote because there are many forms of art. Art can be paintings, sculptures, cars, and the human body. The list of art is endless. In the quote, I relate the word “art” to the human body. How everyone tries to be the best version of themselves and how much effort has to be put in for them to be that. How much effort it takes to be “effortless”. How much it takes to be “perfect”. In my opinion, perfection is a disease that society has created. Everyone has to put in the maximum effort to look “beautiful”, especially women. Being effortlessly beautiful isn’t just about being naturally pretty, but it is about who you are on the inside, how you treat others and how you treat yourself. Whether you are happy with yourself. For most people, being happy with themselves is one of the biggest challenges to overcome because they see all of their imperfections. It’s not a change that happens overnight. It happens little by little. Having imperfections is true beauty because that is what makes someone unique.
