Chapter 5.

“Passion makes the world go round. Love just makes it a safer place.” – Ice-T

The quote is from the book “The Art of Being Human”, and the quote that I chose is by Ice-T and he said “Passion makes the world go round. Love just makes it a safer place”. My interpretation of this quote is that passion and love are completely different. Passion can relate to many things, such as a person that you care for or your work, whereas love is caring and being kind. If people hated where they work and were not passionate about anything then no one would give 100%. Everything would be half asked, but when people are passionate about what they do then their excited and they want to produce the best work that they possibly can. Love makes the world a safer place because if no one knew the feeling of love then they wouldn’t know what it would feel like to loose a loved one. No one would care if someone was killed, but since we are able to feel love were able to turn down the bottle of alcohol we are offered if we have to drive somewhere or reevaluate hurting someone in general.

“The stars about the lovely moon hiding their shining forms when it lights up the earth at its fullest”- Sappho

The next quote is by Sappho and he said “The stars about the lovely moon hiding their shining forms when it lights up the earth as its fullest”. I interpret this quote as one star can not light up the night sky by itself, but when there is many of them, the sky is as bright as it could be. I relate this back to people, the more alone one is, the more dim they are gonna be, whereas if there are many people trying to work together then they can light up the world and create something beautiful.

“To see a world in a grain of sand And heaven in a wild flower, Hold infinity in the palm of your hand And eternity in an hour”- William Blake

The quote “To see a world in a grain of sand And heaven in a wild flower, Hold infinity in the palm of your hand And eternity in an hour” Willian Blake can mean many things. For me, I interpret this quote as seeing something for more than what it is. Like being the person with an outside perspective, be different. Don’t take things for granted and see the beauty in things. Cherish the time that we have with people whether its 1 minute or 1 hour with them, be kind and loving towards them because you never know when our moments will end with that person. Just take your time to love life, don’t throw it away for anyone or anything
